The choice over the way forward for Doncaster Sheffield airport has been delayed till the center of subsequent month by its proprietor.

Peel Group, which runs the UK airport, is undertaking a strategic review into its future after suggesting Doncaster Sheffield “might no longer be commercially viable”, following the withdrawal of Wizz Air from the airport earlier this summer season.

Peel Group added that it has now agreed to increase the session to 16 September to “enable extra time for key stakeholders to conclude their discussions”, though there had been a “lack of any tangible proposals from public or non-public sector companions”.
