Swiss is including a brand new flight between Zurich and Bristol within the UK as a part of its winter 2022/23 schedule.

The Lufthansa Group-owned service stated it might supply 93 locations from its hubs of Zurich and Geneva this winter, with general capability reaching 80 per cent of the airline’s 2019 ranges.

Swiss’ Zurich-Bristol service will launch from 4 February 2023 with one flight per week. The service will even proceed working newly launched summer time 2022 flights from Zurich to Bologna, Nantes, Sofia and Vilnius into the winter season.

Further frequencies can be added from Zurich to short-haul locations together with Belgrade, Porto, Alicante, Barcelona and Malaga. Lengthy-haul providers to Asian cities resembling Bangkok, Singapore, Delhi and Mumbai will even be elevated subsequent winter.

Swiss will serve 25 European locations from Geneva within the winter, together with extra flights to the Scandinavian cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Copenhagen. The brand new summer time service to Brussels will even proceed this winter in collaboration with sister service Brussels Airways.

Chief business officer Tamur Goudarzi Pour stated the airline was centered on “additional stabilising” providers for the winter.

“In Europe, particularly, we’re offering a sexy alternative of locations for the colder season,” added Pour. “On the similar time, although, we’ve been conservative in our planning and have diminished our flight programme by a lot of frequencies, to make sure that we are able to maintain our schedules as secure as doable.”

The airline’s forthcoming winter timetable runs from 30 October to 26 March 2023.
