An empty premises in Cromer might reopen as a nail and wonder salon.

The proposal, within the palms of planners at North Norfolk District Council (NNDC), is looking for a change of use for the previous Hays Journey on Excessive Avenue, reverse the parish church.

Plans present three pedicure chairs and a nail desk with area for six prospects. 

Applicant Thi Thuy Cling Bo, director of Cambridge-based firm Becoming Nails Ltd, states there can be no adjustments to the inner construction or exterior facade of the constructing.

However session has seen James Ashby, environmental safety crew chief at NNDC, elevate considerations over the “potential for odour nuisance” because the salon can be close to residential flats and adjoining outlets.

The officer has requested the applicant for particulars concerning air flow of mitigation for potential solvent odours.

Cromer City Council has not objected to the bid.
