A 16-mile part of monitor between New Brunswick and South Brunswick has been upgraded to allow trains to journey at as much as 150 miles per hour.
This work may even allow Amtrak’s new Acela trains to realize speeds of 160mph on the monitor when launched in Autumn 2023.
