Two lanes of the A14 closed between Bar Hill and Girton in west Cambridge at round 8am on Wednesday, June 15, inflicting congestion.

An accident involving a single automobile led to the closure between J25 B1050 to J31 M11 J14 (Girton/Cloverleaf Interchange).

Police confirmed {that a} bus broke down on the westbound carriageway, initially closing two lanes of the most important highway. All lanes have since reopened.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary stated: “We have been known as at 8.30am in the present day (15 June) by the Highways Company with experiences a bus had damaged down on the westbound carriageway of the A14 close to Bar Hill. The automobile is being recovered.”
