A police incident introduced the M2 to a standstill in Rochester this afternoon (June 14). Site visitors reportedly floor to a halt on Medway Bridge on the eastbound carriageway.

In line with site visitors administration system Inrix, the highway has been closed at Junction 2 for the A228 Sundridge Hill, Strood and Rochester. Inrix reported: “There’s something happening on the bridge.”

The incident cleared simply earlier than 5pm.

KCC Highways says: “All Coastbound site visitors is being diverted off the M2 at J2 (A228 Strood) as a consequence of an incident between J2 and J3 (A229 Blue Bell Hill). Delays on the strategy are constructing, please enable further time to your journey.”
