The A127 in Southend close to Gallows Nook will stay closed after a big water pipe burst on Thursday morning (June 9). WhilE engineers tried to repair the pipe early on Friday morning (June 10), they found that the pipe had brought about injury to the highway, which can should be repaired earlier than the highway may be reopened.

Essex and Suffolk Water have stated in an announcement on social media that they are going to be working all weekend to restore the highway and the pipe, however they estimate that the highway won’t be able to be reopened till early subsequent week (from Monday, June 13).
