Drivers had been hit with delays after a significant motorway shut this morning.
All lanes had been shut off on the southbound carriageway at junction three on the M61 for Kearsley Spur following the collision at round 8.30am. Two lanes had been initially shut off earlier than police closed off the whole stretch of motorway to clear the particles.
Motorway cameras confirmed a construct up of site visitors as much as the incident. It isn’t clear whether or not anybody was injured.
