Extra street closures will have an effect on journey out and in of town from at this time. 

Grove Road and Grove Avenue, from the Ipswich Street and St Stephens Street facet, might be quickly closed from Monday, June 6 till Friday, August 26.  

The work, which is a part of the £32m transforming cities project from the Division of Transport, is aimed toward bettering services and entry for pedestrians and cyclists.

Ipswich Street will even be closed to all visitors northbound between Ipswich Grove and the junction of Ipswich Street and Grove Street.

The complete works are as follows: 

  • Closure of the left flip into Grove Street from St Stephens Street
  • One-way visitors in Grove Street in the direction of its junction with St Stephens Street
  • One-way visitors in Grove Avenue from its junction with Ipswich Street in the direction of its junction with Grove Stroll
  • A two-way segregated cycle lane in Grove Street to the St Stephens Street junction
  • Footway widening in Ipswich Street close to the Grove Street junction
  • Widening of the prevailing pedestrian crossing in St Stephens Street.

Victoria Road will even be closed from its junction with St Stephens Street – one-way might be suspended to permit entry from Grove Street – however a date of the closure has not been confirmed but.
