The group from Kent, aged 75 to 92, every paid £675 for the break, which included an easyJet flight to the Isle of Man from Gatwick.

However excessive winds pressured the crew to land in Manchester and three-and-a-half hours later the flight was cancelled.

The 53 OAPs had been flown again to Gatwick, however had been advised there was no resort lodging and the following flight was in three days.

EasyJet refused to refund the flight price as a result of the wind was past its management, however has provided to pay cheap bills.

Organiser Eileen Booker, 77, left, stated: “It was disgusting the best way we had been handled. Different planes had been touchdown on the Isle of Man. Why they selected to desert us I do not know.”

EasyJet stated it was “reaching out” to Ms Booker to apologise for the group’s ordeal.
