US tourist falls into crater of Mount Vesuvius, is rescued

ROME (AP) — An American vacationer needed to be rescued on Mount Vesuvius close to Naples after he apparently slipped into the Italian volcano’s crater whereas making an attempt to recuperate his fallen cellphone, information reviews and the affiliation of Vesuvius park guides stated.

The vacationer and relations had been cited by Carabinieri police as a result of they went off the approved path to get nearer to the crater on Saturday afternoon, apparently to take a selfie, the LaPresse information company stated.
