A part of the A11 in Norfolk stays closed after the air ambulance was known as to a severe crash.

Emergency providers had been known as to the crash within the southbound carriageway this morning (June 26).

In a tweet, Nationwide Highways East initially mentioned: “The A11 southbound is closed between the B1111 close to Snetterton and the A1087 close to Thetford as a consequence of a collision. 

“The northbound carriageway is held for an air ambulance to attend. 

“Norfolk police are finishing up accident investigations.”

In a newer message, Nationwide Highways has confirmed that the northbound carriageway has reopened. 

The tweet mentioned: “The A11 southbound stays closed between  the B1111 close to Snetterton and the A1087 close to Thetford as a consequence of a collision.

“The northbound carriageway is now open.”

The extent of any accidents just isn’t but identified however Norfolk Police has been approached for extra data. 

A diversion route has been put in place by police.
