Main route to close for emergency repair work

DRIVERS are being warned of diversions and doable delays this week brought on by pressing restore works being carried out to one of many busiest routes into Leicester.

From 7am on Wednesday, August 17, Infirmary Highway – which connects Aylestone Highway and Oxford Avenue close to Leicester Royal Infirmary – will likely be closed to all site visitors to permit Severn Trent Water to finishing up emergency repairs on a gap which has opened within the street.

Drivers utilizing that route into the town centre will likely be diverted through Welford Highway, Tigers Approach and onto the inside ring street. Folks will be capable of entry Leicester Royal Infirmary will through Jarrom Avenue.

The closure is anticipated to stay in place till Friday lunchtime (August 19) to make sure the work may be carried out safely.
