Biker injured in crash on Scots motorway as smash brings traffic to standstill amid warm weather

A BIKER was injured in a crash on a busy Glasgow motorway which sparked chaos for drivers.

Each lanes of the M77 southbound have been restricted following a smash involving a bike at junction 5 Maidenhill on Saturday.

Cops confirmed a 56-year-old motorcyclist was injured and brought to hospital.

Footage captured by drivers exhibits automobiles and lorries queuing on the motorway.

Some drivers left their autos to face exterior within the scorching warmth.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “Officers have been known as to experiences of a crash involving a automobile and a motorcycle on the M77 southbound close to Newton Mears round 6pm on Saturday, 13 August, 2022.”A 56-year-old man, the rider of the motorcycle, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth College Hospital by ambulance.

“The street was absolutely re-opened round 7pm.”
