Ponteland pensioner admits smothering her 81-year-old husband
A pensioner has admitted killing her 81-year-old husband by smothering him after a disagreement over funds.
Janet Dunn, 73, “discovered herself holding a pillow over the face” of her associate of 53 years, Anthony Dunn, who died because of her actions. She then fled their martial residence, leaving their grownup daughter to find his physique and name police.
The next day Dunn was arrested and was initially charged with homicide. Now Dunn, of Beech Court docket, Ponteland, Northumberland, has pleaded responsible to manslaughter at Newcastle Crown Court and prosecutors accepted the plea and dropped the homicide cost.
